1ď¸âŁÂ The 666 roadmap ⢠Oct 2015 ⢠2 min read
Huge fan of this tool to articulate vision with strategy and tactic. It may looks weird, but thinking 6 to 30 years ahead force you to focus on problems/needs that should still be true for your users, aka: the essentials. Repeatedly asking this question, I found out that it also help to escape the hype cycle tentations. For example, when I was at ManoMano, this timeframe helped my team to think out of the "vocal ecommerce" trend despite many leaders constantly talking about how important Alexa or Google Home would be in the 18 months... spoiler alert: it's still not a big thing and no users ever talked to us about it #strategy #executionÂ
2ď¸âŁÂ Product Manager Interview: Prioritization Question ⢠Aug 2020 ⢠3 min read
I usually propose to candidates a version of this question where they have to prioritise a list of initiatives I give them. The final prioritisation is not relevant, only the process. Start by an overall description of it, show that you would involve users & stakeholders inputs, list the main criteria you would use based on the company priorities. Then simulate the process with the interviewer #interviewprep #planning
3ď¸âŁÂ NPS Best Practices for Saas: When, How Often and How to Ask for NPS Feedback ⢠Oct 2020 ⢠7 min read
NPS has many flaws (we will talk about it later) but is still very popular. First reason being that it's easy to find benchmark and compare with best players. To make the most of it: 1/ send it at the right time 2/ send it to the right audience 3/ slice it, slice then slice again the results to get deeper insights 4/ follow-up on the answers (if positive write a case-study, if negative call the customers to win them back). 4ď¸âŁ Interfaces That Help Machine Learning ⢠Oct 2020 ⢠8 min read
Software ate the world, and now machine learning is eating software with tremendous consequences on the UX. In this article you'll discover how Tiktok, Youtube or Netflix started changing their main interfaces to reduce the pressure on algorithms and create clearer "subtle" signals to infer user satisfaction. At comet we struggle on a daily basis with the same questions since our main service use ML to match freelancers with missions... #ux #ai
5ď¸âŁ Good advice when you want to become PM with no prior experience ⢠Oct 2020 ⢠? min read
Not really an article but a great conversation started by RĂŠmi Guyot (VP Product @ BlaBlaCar) with a lot of comments sharing ideas on how to find your first PM job. It's a recurring question with no single satisfying answer, so be sure to have a look if you are in this situation. RĂŠmi is probably the most famous/inspiring product person in France, but if you don't know him yet, be sure to listen to his most recent podcast (fr) #launchpad Â
